The out door pool was lovely and we were very lucky to have some sunshine to be able to use it, have to say not over keen on the restaurant, the staff were very good, but did not think it has a lot of atmosphere - the lights were too bright - and could not quite get what it was - some people were dressed in football tops and others were dressed up - so not sure if it had a pub vibe or restaurant vibe - did not have breakfast so cannot compare - but I would certainly stay at this hotel again

Martine

Basically everything. Every person from the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect for who is travelling without a car, close to train station and literally on the path to the hill. The room was big and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious and fairly priced. The pool was well maintained and I just would have loved to have found better weather to use it more. The outdoor space was great to entertain my child.

Tastefully decorated entrance, bar and lounge areas. Our room was clean and comfortable. However the temperature in the hotel was quite chilly. Appreciate everyone is mindful of the cost of energy but the corridors were cold and there was no heating on in the room when we arrived. It took a while to warm up before we took our coats off. Breakfast was good although no choice of eggs, only scrambled egg available.

Antony

The staff were extremely accommodating. The room was comfortable, our shower didn’t work, but someone came to fix that right away. The food was good. The pool is heated and has a lifeguard. The surrounding area is great for nature lovers. Great walk/hike just behind the hotel, endless fun for the kids. It’s very out of the way, therefor we needed to take a taxi from Gatwick. Well maintained property.

Florien

Lovely mix of historic buildings and newer extensions. Very nice interiors. Staff were amazing, as was the food. The pool was well maintained, always watched by friendly lifeguards, and the mix of lane and general swimming worked well. Room cleaned every day, discretely. Music in the restaurant was low and pleasant. Lovely outdood dining setup, too. We had a lovely holiday!
